Ammerland: a strong location!

"The decisive factor in driving the continued development of the district is a strong economy. In Ammerland, we not only live in one of the most beautiful areas in Germany, but the district also offers excellent local conditions for trade and business.
Offering the appropriate availability of industrial and commercial areas to suit market needs shows the municipalities have done their homework well. In addition, favourable tax rates, good transport communications across and beyond the region, and the results-driven work of local government administrations are convincing arguments both for enterprises already located here and for those interested in relocating here.

The economic success of our enterprises has allowed us to slow down the rate of unemployment in Ammerland alongside a high rate of business growth.  Absolute numbers of those unemployed overall in the Ammerland district have fallen by more than 30 percent since 2005 (start of the district assuming responsibility for the long-term unemployed under the option model). Thus Ammerland continues to have one of the lowest rates of unemployment in the state of Lower Saxony."
